I had entered into a Halloween contest in the fractal art category and did manage to pull off a 3rd place win with "The Demon"!

In other news, I joined a group called Fractal Faces and they now feature 58 of my strange creatures! (I wasn't sure how many I had in the gallery)

Boston!!! Yup, that is where I will be for a week starting on the 16th.... I will be doing a different kind of artwork, the art of repair and disguise on some fiberglass and gel coat for some new subway trains being put into service for the Boston Blue Line Transit! (and you thought I only did fractals)
Anyhow, if anyone who bothers to read this far and is in the Boston area next week, it would be great to meet you!!!! Drop me a message!!!!

Have you ever been fracen around in DA, just cruising in other peoples faves or comments and found something you didn't expect? Well, I was scrolling down on someones page a few daws ago to send a thanks for some faves. In the long list of other comments I see this icon and name that sidetracks me...

Going to the profile page I find an amazing spectrum of artworks that seemed hauntingly familiar in range and styles...

Then I run across this one, and being a Scorpio I collected it also...

The curious thing was the title! That's when I noticed it was named for a person...
mooninthescorpio ...and there I find artwork with worlockmolly as the model!

(and quite a lot more very dark and surreal works)

To top it all off, they have a common project that is worth quite a look!

I wish to thank all of the "Deviators" who watch me for their interest, support, and faves of my somewhat different style of fractal art. (I suppose there is no point in a "deviation" without "deviating" from what everyone else does)

Here are spotlights on some of the artists that most attracted my attention, a few samples of thier work, and what they mean to me as both artist and friends....

Being a fan of H.R.Giger's art is what caused me to be attracted to this mans works. Although it is only vaugely similar, I do find it refreshing to see the style taken to a new level with the creation of his Necreshaw Graphic Novel, a bold project that is in the works...

A funny story here... I had been chatting back and forth with this unique artist for quite a while exchanging interest in Dungeons and Dragons as well as general great laughs. I had made a typical male comment about something being I thought I was talking with a guy, when I was finally pulled up short in finding that I was chatting with a lady all along!!! Anyhow, SHE has artworks that are of characters of her own creation that I have found to be quite brilliant!

I probably can't fit enough in here to truly describe janejayne's works with her daughter and model Cody. Early on I discovered a unique sensuality in her works that can be best described as, "I shouln't look, but I can't stop either" (The icon just slays me!)

Here is a young artist with a ton of ambition and budding talent that just needs a little patience, encouragement, and attention. If you want to read some strong heart felt literature and poetry, don't pass this artist up. She has an additional stock page that has some wonderful items for use and I am contributing some fractal backrounds that will be available there as well. Take a visit to both pages if you haven't already done so.

You might think his name is rather egotistical of him, but once you get to know him you will find that he is not only a fantastic 3d/digital artist but quite the comedian and one hell of a guy to interact with. Someday he might even get the knife back! (sorry, inside joke)

Now here is a gentleman I quite admire. He does some very unique fractal works as well as some of the finest photomanipulation I have seen. I do use a translator program to write to him with comments and what not only because I sometimes forget to tone down my writing so that he can decypher my english. I have yet to figure out if there is any of my art that he has not collected.

And then you have a photographer with a heart as big as the great white north who uses the name of his dear departed friend Tassja for his DA ID. His works reflect a very natural and comfortable feeling that is even mirrored in his choice of models who are more the everyday, yet extremely attractive ladies. (don't get me wrong, let's say they are the type you and I would commonly meet, OK?)

For some familiar characters that are artisticly created with some incredible talent that really provides true depth in his works that would be a tribute to the comic book industry and more, take a good gander at these...
